iBall Interviews Mark Shipman
December 7th, 2007IF Mark Shipman was American, he would be publicly known as a ‘winner’. But because he is British, hardly anyone knows who he is.
After making a fortune in the deadly bear pits of the 1980s futures dealing rooms, he established his own hedge fund, Silver Knight Investment Management, and retired twice, the last time aged 36.
Now he runs trading seminars, owns racehorses and writes little books with big titles like: Big Money, Little Effort. A winning strategy for Profitable Long-term investment.
He’s never really pulled a punch. So it’s appropriate that we caught up with him in The Ring boxing gym.

Heavens! A crunch has become chaos and carnage and the market only seems to go one way –meltdown. Perhaps, it is not the best time in the world to be cheerfully giving investment ideas, given it’s so difficult to pick anything out of all of this mess. Just look at our portfolio.
