Despite being American originally Woolies is about as British as treacle tart and custard.

If you have got kids or you are a shoplifter you know exactly what the value of this high street favourite is.

But if you are an investor you might be shaking your head in horror right now. Well, we still love Woolies…

    I bought woolworth last time it was recomended on the interactive investors web site .That was early 2006 and the share price was 38p .A reasonable investment would have beaten inflation say 43 p instead it is 7p .

    I have invested in Woolworths last week at 7.01p… despite concerns I believe now is a good time to buy.

The music bizz is much in the news recently, what with stars galore walking out on their record companies.

It’s an industry in crisis apparently. Record companies are finding it hard to make money because those pesky musicians keep giving their product away. Aw. Diddums.

Sooner or later though, something new crops up which saves the day. Just ask HMV.
