Portmeirion Group Plc (PMP.L)
June 3rd, 2008There's no way we could cover a stock like this without getting a bit surreal.
This is the place after all where the baffling psychedelic 1960s thriller The Prisoner was shot.
But it also produces pottery, which also produces some quite tidy stockmarket returns.

June 5th, 2008 at 5:57 amhbos goes to defend its service charges and then sends the wee punters advice on how to apply for some shares cause they blew a lot of money on the credit crunch.
I suppose we are all mugs to have trusted you to pass on the percentages when the rates were cut.
O hbos cant you see without the wee men and woman ur nothing but headless chickens pretending ur not to blame for wasting billions on buildings that no one can ford like lighting a fire in the teaming rain

Heavens! A crunch has become chaos and carnage and the market only seems to go one way –meltdown. Perhaps, it is not the best time in the world to be cheerfully giving investment ideas, given it’s so difficult to pick anything out of all of this mess. Just look at our portfolio.
