Entertainment Rights Plc (ERT)

If you have got young children you will know exactly what keeps them quiet in front of the old electric nanny.

Postman Pat is a star, but Entertainment Rights has more than just Britain's best loved cat owning postal worker.

Lassie, the Lone Ranger and as many classics as you could wish for. Hey, maybe even Mum and Dad will be watching out for their stock…

ITV Plc (ITV)

March 17th, 2008

OK, so you may not like talent contests or jungle-based celebrity wobbly-throwing, but the big question is - has ITV got the X-factor?

Shuffling the news about the schedules, even bringing back the great Sir Trevor McDonald to try and bring more eyeballs in.

Bossman Michael Grade is not know for his association with failure so it could be a good time to look at the shares.

RDF Media Plc (RDF) - The Director's Cut

December 12th, 2007

OK, OK. Hands up. We all make mistakes. And we did.

But, hey, there’s no sense in burying a good film just because there’s a teensy-weensy little error in it. It's only fair that we put it right.

So here for your viewing pleasure is a second chance to see one of our favourite shows – first broadcast on December 4. Give it up for RDF Media – the Director's Cut.

Two mistakes ! The Blue Peter was named sox not cookie !

Ha ha ha RDF of all people getting the hump about dodgy editing. Oh the irony of it.
Personally I think it is time for the Beeb to bring its program making back in house. Outsourcing was supposed to improve the quality and reduce costs; it hasn’t done either. TV production is just as bad if not worse than it was in the 70’s and 80’s the major difference being there are more management snouts in the trough with the inevitable reduction in funding for programming.
Bring back the test card. At least the background music to it kept granny happy.
